Create a T.V Show

A television network is looking for ideas for a new television series for teenagers. Write a letter to the president of the network explaining your idea for the new television show. Include all the information that will help the president evaluate your idea, including the show’s title, what kind of show it is (such as reality, comedy, music, game, or sports), specific details or features of the show that would be appealing to teenage viewers, and an example of what viewers might see in a typical episode.

I think there should be a everything show. Day by day there would be a different topics such as being a teenager, sports, and anything really whats on teenagers mind. The Show would be call Whats On Your Mind hosted by John Stamos.

  2. Dear Senor President,
I was thinking about a show that just shows the lives of teenagers. There would be like 4 group members, 2 male 2 female and the show would follow each of them around and see what life is like to be a teenager and how there lives interconnect. It would be a comedy-drama called youth, imagine a combination of scrubs and Arther ( that T.V. show on public television with a talking aardvark). Oh and that was my analogy for this comment. A typical episode would be like, a main male character is failing math and his parents are mad at him but he cant do ant better. So he turns to drugs but before he does the main female character stops him and we all learn a valuable lesson. Oh, and there would be a lot of random jokes and general school antics.

  4. Dear President/Producer Man,
some shows are completely over rated, and i have had enough of those. they make the smallest thing a big deal and some of the kids start acting like the stuck up characters in the show. we need a show to show the real story of life, even though there really insn't the isnt the same life for everyone because everyone has been through different events in their life. but we need to send out a message to everyone who will watch it. we need the social pyramid, and the interactions like the bullying the lying and the cheating. of coarse you can add some drama and comedy but we need to get across what really goes on. i have really no idea what to call the show except for everything. do i would think it would be drama and comdey but at the same time giving the message about life. it should show what goes on, like bulling, and reaction: such as students hanging themselves or school shootings. we all see what goes on, but we chose to ignore it, thats why we need to give them a slap to the face. we need to wake up, watch and not just look at what happens, watch it, and take action to fix the problem. so lets get them the slap !

  5. 1. i love saved by the bell and screech is awesome awsome awasome i dont kow how to spell it. dear mr.obama
shows like saved by the bell are great but to unreal. you should make a show about comedy but well more real and it should portray the life of a popular kid. instead of the nerd getting picked on we should watch the popular gang group picking on them and them getting into drugs tough situations and see how they feel about it. i think it would somehow find a way to braven little weak kids by looking at the harsh life of a popular kid.-jefe

  6. I really like Trent's idea for a tv show!!! I think some teens could really use a show like that. a show that shows you what a teens life is REALLY like. I know that, me being a teen, teens have shows that they can watch....but there aren't that many that truely tell what being a teen is like. The desiscions and the problems and the reactions to things. If there was a show that was for teens that was made BY teens...I think that show would be one of the best shows on the air. You know why? Because I bet you that if teens were to make the show about there life in school there would be a character that every teen could relate to. The teens would be able to pinpoint the actual problems in their life and so many people would be like "Oh my gosh that's happened to me too."

So if I could make a tv show just for teens it would have to be one directed by teens. Also the tv show would be about the life of the teens in the show. I would probably call it Our Lives or something along the lines of that. There would be like 10 to 12 main characters that would be in different "Social Classes" so that younger teens could get a basic idea for what is to come. To open the younger teens' eyes to what really happens. A tv show like this is important because it's imformational as well as entertaining. It kind of reminds me of Degrassi. Teens would love it because they can relate and it would open there eyes as well and hopefully help them to ignore the "Social Classes" even though I know as well as you that they will never be eliminated. -Taylor

  8. Dear Mr.President
I think there should be a realality show. I don't know what to call it. In the show, there should be the whole high school scene. Jocks, losers, the ones who go over the edge and everyone. The show is what real life is like. Not comedy, not horror, but real life. To show the real in the characters. And let the others know thier not the only ones out their in the world who feel the way they do.

  9. Dear mr presidante

i think there should be a tv show on the life of teenagers. such as the the gossip around school and sports to the afterschool activities to the parties.i think it ould be good for the kids to see what they are like and question themselfs if they really act that way. And compare the kids around different people. how does somone act around one freind differ than around another freind. also to see the educational side of school and see what there reactions are to grades and projects and other fun goodies like that :)
please mtv make my show a dream come true... ohh sorry wrong show. seee yall around foulks!!

  10. I think there should be a show about Room 211. There should be two teachers in the room played by a very attractive actor and actress. Each episode should be an examination into the day in the life of every student ala Lost. The classroom would be the central location for interaction with the teachers. Mr.G

  11. When I was growing up, a long time ago, The Friday night line-up included The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family, The Odd Couple, and a show called Room 222. It was a risky step at that time (70s) to portray diversity among staff and students in high school. I remember thinking how "real" it seemed. Ms. Carr

  13. Mr. G, if you make that show, I want to be played the Asian kid of Disturia, you know the one that hides in the closet, and he was in 21. Either him of Bobby Lee from MAD T.V.
