WOW! This song is like talking about Peter. Peter is a kid and his life is always a nightmare. It's not fair for him to go through this. No kid should have to be compared to this song. Now every time I hear this song I'm going to think of Peter and how much he relates to this song.

I think the song Im just a kid hit Peter right in the noise. Its perfect because it describes him so perfectly it not funny. He sits at home andhes got no friends besides Derek so yea its a perfect fit for him.

This song is Peter!!!! He is living a nightmare right now in his life/part of the book. Peter feels like nobody cares about him. And he thinks that hes all alone but he has his parents and Josie is probably on his side but she doesn't know it yet. haha. I like what kevin said in all caps, that everyone is alone. But it's up to you to keep in that wat or to change it.

haha i heard that song before... or that band. something like that? but yeah anyway. this song i tihnk relates to josie in a way. yes peter too but this makes me think of josie for the most part. not that part about hanging out and all cause she has her "alliences". but the part "im just a kid and my life is a nightmare." josie is so deep into acting as this role she doesnt know what to do. its like shes doing what she is because its what others wouold do and not her

I think this song relates to Peter and his life throughout this book. His life is a nightmare, and nobody cares that he's always alone. And the part in the song where is says "Don't fit in with anybody. How did this happen to me?" relates to him too. He used to fit in with Josie, and then he didn't... so he might be thinking how could this happen to me? And in the chorus where it says "I'm just a kid, I know that its not fair" it's true, it isn't fair! No kids should be relating their life to this song, they're only a kid and it's not fair.

Life is a nightmare for Peter because before the shooting all e wanted to do was be left alone, durning the shooting he wanted to kill himself a well as others, and after the shooting he is scared to death of his future. This song is like the soundtrack to Peter's life.

He feels like there is something wrong with him and that no one wants to talk to him at all. He feels like evry night is the worst night for him because of how much gets bullied. This is a everyday teenger song and it describes Peter's situation the best that its unbelievable. If the book Ninteen Minutes had a theme song it would be "I'm Just A Kid"

This is a great song to descibe Peter because he thinks life is a nightmare.He looks at Josies group and thinks they have so many friends and always has something to do and he just sits in his room.He thinks nobody cares because his parents only really cared for Joey and he had no friends.And how he doesnt fit in.Matt doesn't let Peter forget that he doesn't fit in and that he is nothing.All Peter needs is a friend and someone to stick up for him and also parents that care.

This is a great song for Peter, it tells exactly how he feels every day of his life since the first day of kindergarden. Peter feels like he lives in hell day in and day out. He feels like no one likes him or cares about him. Peter was living in a nightmare every day before he went and shot up his school. Peter’s own parents didn’t care about him and he was upset about that, Joey always came first when it came to him and peter with his mother and father. Now Peter is also living in a nightmare because he doesnt know what is going to happen to him at court. Every night Peter must feel like crap because of how much he got bullied and now he made a change that no one liked and now it is in there hands.

Yeah this song would defintally relate to Peter. Any one who's ever lived could find a way to relate to this song. It's a possibility that the people who wrote this song went through the same kind of stuff who ever wrote this song did, but probaly not as severe as Peter.
But if you look at this kids in this music videotheir all preety holly wood looking.
Theirs a line in this song that says something like I think i have alot of friend but I don't really hear from them.
Peter never felt like that, he was always under the impression that he was alone. The music video is nothing like Peter Houghton but the lyrics could be twisted around to relate to him someone way or another.

this song does relate to peter but like gerhard said pretty much everyone can somehow relate it. probably more than others. and is it really that severe? i think it is but if you think about it peter could have a normal bullied life. maybe were just thinking that having your head flushed the toilet is too much. maybe its not. maybe none of us have been bullied like this..... i dont know your lives so i cant say the same but the worse thing for me in bullying is words. sure physicall bullying has happaned to me but the words people use hurt and they still hurt at times. so yea thats my opinion.-jefe
