Welcome to our new blog. Here we will discuss books, quotes and anything we find relevant in Room 211. This is a place to connect and further the progress of our class. Remember, when the world has proven to be a difficult place...The door is aways open in Room 211.

ReplyDelete“Freethinkers are those who are willing to use their minds without prejudice and without fearing to understand things that clash with their own customs, privileges, or beliefs. This state of mind is not common, but it is essential for right thinking; where it is absent, discussion is apt to become worse than useless.” -Leo Tolstoy

Tolstoy was a very reflective man. He always questioned his self-worth. The interesting thing about him is that he was part of the elite class under the Czar in Russia, but was very observant of all who knew him. He seemed to know of a man's intentions before the man himself. I love Tolstoy!

Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when you riding through the ruts, don't complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy. Don't bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality . Wake Up and Live People want to listen to a message, word from Jah. This could be passed through me or anybody. I am not a leader. Messenger. The words of the songs, not the person, is what attracts people

Okay I wanted to write this before I go off next year. This language arts class has been a great inspiration to me. I feel like I belong to more than one family. Periods 3 and 5 have taught me so much. I've been ragged and ragged on about bullying but I don't think it has ever really gotten through like it has in Nineteen Minutes. And as I'm watching Hotel Rwanada I really feel I'm connected to the world. I can finally see their pain and embrace it with open arms! This class has really been an inspiration and I am thankful for Mrs. Carr and Mr. G for being my extended parents. I will always be there for you as I know you will always be there for me. Thank you so much for the great year!
ReplyDeleteLots of love!
